  • The scholarship will be applied only to the following expenses:
    • Tuition fees = TZS 1,000,000 – TZS 1,500,000 depending on the scholar’s academic program.
    • Direct university fees = ID fees, enrollment fees, exam fees, medical capitation fees, student union fees, books, and stationery allowance. A maximum amount of TZS 80,000 per fellow.
    • Room and board allowance = TZS 1,500,000 per year per scholarship recipient.
  • The scholarship award is a non-cash award to the recipient’s UDSM account as described in the scholarship application.

  • The recipient must be a citizen of the United Republic of Tanzania (at the time of applying for the scholarship).
  • The recipient must have attended a high school in Tanzania to be eligible for this scholarship. Homeschooled students are not eligible.
  • The recipient must be fluent in both English and Kiswahili at the time of their application.
  • The recipient must be in their first year of a college education.
  • He/she must declare his/her intention with a specialization/degree program of his/her choice.
