Hello!!
My name is Maria Haufiku and I’m from Africa. Before I tell you about the scholarship I have chosen and seen best for me, please hear my story.
Growing up I have always wanted to become a singer but my parents denied it. When it came to choosing a field at high School they didn’t want me to have home economics which was weird because they all know how I love cooking. As I grew up they gave me different choices and now that I’m 18, both my parents are orphans. We’ve recently mourned my grandmother this month which was so hard for me. My parents are both unemployed and I have seven siblings. My brother who is the first born is at varsity and this is his second year. We’re both wise beyond our ages and are onto becoming independent and helping out our parents but because we’re treated differently, this resulted in me being depressed and feeling like the failure I’m not. I’m an optimistic and charismatic individual and doing social work like helping out at orphanages, feeding the poor, being a psychiatrist to whoever needs one…you name it, I help out where I can and I believe that it wouldn’t take long before all continents are united as one and the articles about these fully funded scholarships couldn’t help me confirm it more.
Yours sincerely
Maria N Haufiku
